"If it's not too late for coffee..."
Tonight...Or technically last night, I suppose...
I ventured to Greenville College in Greenville, IL. As I rode, I rode with the top down. Resulting in hott hott hair and freezing cold hands. I arrived, I waited, I sat on the stage while eating my Subway. And then it started. One of the most amazing shows I have ever seen. Observer's distance was up first. They were good, I quite enjoyed it. Aah, yes, but then....a group called Solafide played. They were pretty much amazing. I am pretty much in love. Brandon Ross (the lead singer) spit on me several times, in the least. I found it humorous. I thought pretty flipping sweet that I was actually standing that close. I thought it awkward at the beginning. But then I thought about the fact the the picture-taking aspect of the closeness would be quite the benefit. After that, the awkwardness became much less existent. Brandon also fell on me during the concert. You see, the stage was about 6 inches off of the ground and well...it ended a tid more abruptly than I fear he'd expected. I was standing right in front of him so, fortunately, I was there to break his fall. He was a pretty cool kid, from what I observed. My favorite part was his star tattoo on his arm. It was amazing. I wanted to kiss him for it. It made me want one even more. It was EXACTLY what I want. Oh, Jealousy... Moving along....Solafide finished their set. And then came Copeland. It was simply amazing. Once again, I was standing about 6 inches away from the roughly 6 inch high stage. So, pretty much, Aaron Marsh was about a foot in front of me. And, yes, he too spit on me. Quite the lot of times. I took many pictures. But never too many. I got a group picture of various members of various bands with lauren and me. I do believe all of Solafide was there though, if my memory serves me correctly. Then Aaron Marsh. Why does it matter? I hate it when I do that.
Anyway...my final point is this::
I encountered God many times today. Including during the concert. I sang to Him, I sang with Him, and I simply had a good time with him. During one of Solafide's songs, I, out of nowhere, had this vision in my head of Jesus standing next to me with his hands in his pockets, nodding his head to the beat of the music. I'm not sure where it came from and it didn't last long, but regardless of technicalities, it made me smile. It was a simple reminder of His incredible ability to sweep me off my feet.
And in conclusion - it was an amazing day. With an amazing concert. Leaving me with an amazing feeling. Hehe, I am now complete.
